Alvin King, founder of Range For Hope Foundation, was recently presented a House Resolution from the South Carolina House of Representatives to recognize me as the First Veteran of the Year (2023).
"I have been to a lot of programs that are specific for Veterans, Combat Veterans, and Disabled Veterans. As a Disabled Vet myself I am thankful to have found an outdoor outlet. I enjoy being out at the range and the teaching professionals always make me feel like I am getting better, even though I am pretty sure I am not!! I will continue to attend and learn more as they have more and more events."

"I was informed about this Program from another Veteran. I was thoroughly impressed that there is a place for Veterans like myself who enjoy the game of golf to access a range and a golf professional for free. This time out on the range was much appreciated and I wanted to just thank the staff who is involved."

“At Range Fore Hope Foundation, we’re not just swinging clubs—we’re rebuilding lives. As a combat Veteran myself, I’ve seen firsthand how PTSD can shatter families. That’s why we’ve created a unique sanctuary where golf becomes therapy, financial worries turn into empowerment, and isolation transforms into community. Since 2018, we’ve helped over 400 combat-disabled veterans and over 2000 military community members rediscover purpose and connection. With your support, we can expand our reach and give more military families the tools to thrive, not just survive. Join us in turning fairways into pathways FORE healing.”
